Cleansing: The best and most simple cleansing is to simply use cool salt or lemon water (though this may need to repeated a few times)
Charging: This basically hooks up the stone to spiritual energy flows, like a plug in an outlet. A good way to charge is to leave the item in sunlight or moonlight (depending on the type of magic you have in mind) and visualize it being silled with radiance, place it in the proximity of other energized crystals, or fill the stone using repeated incantations.
